I really hope that this captured moment is shown to generations after us. There really hasn’t been a time in my 29 years that Canada has expressed it’s outward pride, and enthusiasm collectively with such passion and embrace. This was a remarkable experience. This was history worth passing on and worth remembering. Stephen Brunt has captured this and I can certainly identify with it. I’ll continue to wear my heart on my sleeve. Cheers Canada.

It’s been a strange winter. Everyone seems to be able to recall a season by its peculiar weather. I’m not one of those. This season however, if I had to describe it, it was a winter with almost no snow. The last few weeks of Feb and now into the beginning of March, we’ve received nothing but wet snow and rain. The downhill isn’t great, but at least my xskiis still work. Photo from out on the bay last weekend.

I came across this, a song by Angels and Airwaves – dedicated those involved in the current and seemingly never ending conflicts of the middle east. It depicts the current conflicts I’ve experienced throughout my 20’s.

9-11 means many things to me. It’s the start of a changing time. The day of my mothers diagnosis. It’s the war that has taken so much from people, including their loved ones. It’s the war the claimed an old friend high school friend, Jordan Anderson. People lock their doors now. Security is tight in public places and in travel. People live in fear. It’s a war for the struggle and balance and equality, something that may never be attained.

Looking closely, it appears that there are two monks standing at the water in the place I usually stand to check out the days water conditions. I’m learning that this place is more sacred than I once thought *)

Took the night off last night to head to Fortune, devoting it entirely to riding regular rather than my real regular – the goofy stance. It started off as awkward as throwing a ball with your left arm. Weak, awkward, and lack of any style. 10 runs in, 7 larger than life spills, and things suddenly started looking up. Shredding the back side of Skyline from top to bottom, pulling reverses mid way things just got comfortable. Agenda: Kiteboarding today at Lac Simon, Tremblant tomorrow if lack of decent wind. Killin it.
