Valkyrie Missile

I came across this, a song by Angels and Airwaves – dedicated those involved in the current and seemingly never ending conflicts of the middle east. It depicts the current conflicts I’ve experienced throughout my 20’s.
9-11 means many things to me. It’s the start of a changing time. The day of my mothers diagnosis. It’s [...]

Regular

Took the night off last night to head to Fortune, devoting it entirely to riding regular rather than my real regular – the goofy stance. It started off as awkward as throwing a ball with your left arm. Weak, awkward, and lack of any style. 10 runs in, 7 larger than life spills, and things [...]

Obscured Moon

This band brings me back to 1997. Always.

Wind Deficiency

The weather hasn’t been favourable lately. Winds peaking 5-10kmh, barely enough to fly the kite itself.

Side note: My first surf t-shirt was of Eddie Aikau. On the [...]

Place and Time

Sometimes a slow morning and tranquil mood can be enhanced with a good song.
This came up
Angus and Julia Stone – Silver Coin

Sometimes I read the credits to see other peoples reaction and perception to a particular song.
I can sentiment with one comment, ” … when a special person leaves your life and every time you [...]

Respecting the Sabath

Stoneface breakfast, an americano in hand, a visit to chaps, successful birthday shopping and putting together dinner for mum. That’s a Sunday.

Happy 5 years

It’s 730am. Just in the driveway at Andrews picking him up before we head on our way to a basement renovation. It’s fall and I’m still working on the home at the lake. It’s been quite a ride but thankfully I’m surrounded by good guys. I’m looking forward to march when I take off for [...]
